“As an ADM, you take people through a two-year programme which supports new financial advisers in six particular areas, which is building community, client proposition and identity, client acquisition and servicing, and running a business.”
For Tom, the racing track is not just a passion, but a unique prospect leads generator. He explains, "the racing track is my main source of prospect leads." Balancing racing, client service, and networking, he finds a rhythm that works uniquely for him.
Tom further details his unconventional approach, stating, "Throughout the day at the track, I'll be on my laptop replying to client emails or chasing up with admin." This distinctive working style and flexibility as a business owner with St. James’s Place, while different from the norm, has proven effective for Tom.
Reflecting on his St. James's Place Academy experience, Tom values the ongoing support from both the training programme and his peers. "To this day, my Academy group still have a WhatsApp group, firing messages about announcements or helping each other navigate challenges."
