We were delighted to recently learn that one of our Academy Partners, Louise Worrall, Principal of Louise Worrall Wealth Management based in Scotland, was awarded the coveted Silver Employer Award – one of three categories of awards from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
These Awards were developed to highlight those businesses that work to support and advocate for the Armed Forces. Learn more about the Scheme and why organisations are awarded Bronze, Silver or Gold.
Louise comments on how pleased she is to receive this award, ‘the Silver award was awarded based upon evidence of actions taken to support the forces, but for me, it marks my promise to continue to advocate and support our military community.’
Louise provides broad based financial advice to individuals and businesses and specialises in providing advice to people serving in as well as transitioning from the Armed Forces. After being discharged on medical grounds as a result of her service, with life changing physical limitations, her six years as a Commissioned Officer with the Royal Navy have stood her in good stead to provide expert knowledge and skills to help her [currently predominantly serving or veteran] clients find practical solutions to the financial issues that concern them most. A glowing testimonial from one of her clients, Lt Chris Hawkins RN - HMS Scotia, praises her for “going above and beyond, using her own prior experience to fully understand clients’ needs.
Louise is a proud supporter and signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and in her spare time , she works with her local Chamber of Commerce – Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce – volunteering her support by actively advocating for the employment and celebration of Reservists in their local businesses; bringing together local military and business communities. In addition, having been both a serving and military spouse at the same time, she understands the uncertain and changing nature of military life and has become a keen advocate of spousal employment.
