St. James's Place (SJP) is delighted to receive the prestigious Silver Award as part of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). This recognition is testament to SJP's strong commitment to armed forces personnel, veterans, and their families.

SJP proudly champions the Armed Forces Community and recognises the invaluable contributions serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and military families bring to its business. Through its Military Network, which contains over 100 ex-military personnel and reservists, cadet instructors and spouses, and its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, SJP provides dedicated support to the Armed Forces Community to help ensure they are not disadvantaged in society.

The Armed Forces Covenant, a key component of SJP's support for the Armed Forces community, plays a crucial role in ensuring that Armed Forces personnel, veterans, and their families are treated fairly and are provided with equal opportunities. Through the Covenant, SJP pledges to uphold several principles, including recognising the value of serving personnel, supporting their families, ensuring no disadvantage in accessing financial services, and promoting career opportunities within the company. SJP's adherence to the Covenant underscores its commitment to creating a supportive environment that enables military personnel and their families to thrive.

Since its creation in 2012, the SJP Financial Adviser Academy has also supported 42 veterans to retrain and become advice professionals. The company actively collaborates with the Career Transition Partner (CTP) to provide employment opportunities for service leavers and a tailored employment pathway for veterans. Through the company’s commitment, dedicated training programmes, and partnerships, SJP strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have served our nation.

This achievement of the Silver Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme showcases SJP's unwavering dedication, and it will continue to provide support to the Armed Forces.
