St. James’s Place (SJP), the UK’s largest wealth manager, has today announced that three additional financial services professionals have joined the Partnership as experienced Appointed Representatives (ARs) to build their own advice businesses.

Wilma Edwards, Paul Telford and Nick Dixon have joined SJP as advisers, bring a range of experience from companies including Fairstone, Santander, Quilter and within the SJP Partnership, with decades of combined financial services and wealth management experience between them. They join a Partnership of nearly 5,000 advisers and approximately 2,700 Partner practices.

Wilma Edwards, of W.E. Wealth, based in Northumberland, has a decade of experience with Santander, Quilter and Fairstone behind her, with more than four of those years advising. Her focus is on retirement planning, estate planning, wealth accumulation and protection.  She says her priorities are: ‘Building a sustainable advice practice from the lens of a working mum with a busy life and being able to help clients in the way I would have liked to receive help before I had the knowledge I have now.’

Based in Newcastle, Paul Telford of Paul Telford Financial Planning, joins from Fairstone where he amassed around 130 clients and £25 million of assets under management.  He had started his financial services career with Halifax in 2010 as a banking consultant, which included protection advice. He says he wanted to join SJP to have a new, exciting challenge, better systems and software and the satisfaction of building his own business.

Nick Dixon, of Nick Dixon Financial Planning, comes from a background of working for a St. James’s Place Partner practice as a technical paraplanner and adviser. Based in Northamptonshire, he says that he chose to become an SJP Partner due to the breadth of support available, including training in business development, his knowledge of the systems and processes and the opportunity to build his own business under a leading firm in the wealth management profession.

Commenting on the new appointments, James Rainbow, Chief Executive of St. James’s Place Wealth Management PLC said: “We are delighted to welcome Wilma, Paul and Nick to the SJP Partnership. They bring a significant range of experience in financial services and the advice profession, with a commitment to building their businesses and offering long term relationships with their clients, which in turn strengthens what SJP offers in the UK.

"The decision of these experience advisers to join SJP reflects the continued strength and appeal of our Partnership model and the breadth and depth of support we provide to advisers. This in turn supports them as they build high-quality, sustainable businesses. It also enables them to focus on delivering excellent client service and helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals."
