SJP Accessibility

We’re constantly working to make the St. James’s Place website as usable and accessible as possible for every user.

We have made every effort to ensure that this website meets or exceeds the relevant legal requirements. We believe that this website meets or exceeds the requirements of the level A criteria of the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative (WCAG WAI) 2.0 guidelines.

We want everyone to be able to use our site but understand that this is a work in progress. Here’s what you can expect when you visit:

  • Images include meaningful alternative text so screen reader users aren’t missing out.
  • Buttons, links, and form fields are clearly labelled for assistive technology.
  • You can use the site in portrait or landscape — we don’t lock page orientation.
  • Most pages have a clear title to help with navigation; we’re fixing a small number that are missing titles.
  • We’re improving colour contrast and link visibility. Some text and in paragraph links may be harder to see than they should be, and we’re addressing this in our templates.
  • We’re refining keyboard navigation. You should be able to move through links and controls using a keyboard. We’re tidying a few patterns where hidden items can still receive focus.
  • We’re also correcting page language settings on a small number of pages to support screen reader pronunciation.
