Please note that we are not offering an Apprenticeship Programme in 2025. We will open applications for our 2026 Apprenticeship Programme in October 2025.
Apprenticeships at SJP
Hear from some of our current and previous Apprentices as they share their favourite moments on their programme.
Our Apprenticeship Programme is a fantastic alternative to university and provides an opportunity to complete a funded and supported qualification whilst you work within one of our divisions, gaining on-the job work experience and training.
We employ our Apprentices on a permanent contract and have created a unique development programme – with support provided throughout from your line manager, our dedicated Early Careers team and the wider business
We offer Apprenticeships in various departments across our business. Qualifications will be tailored to your specialism and are delivered as blended learning, self-study and online. Please note that the majority of our opportunities are based at our Head Office in Cirencester.
“My favourite part of the apprenticeship was that I was not overlooked for just being an ‘apprentice’ and could be trusted and given responsibility on important projects.
SJP is very supportive and make it evident that your personal development is important to them. Not only as an apprentice but once you roll off this continues which shows how much you are valued.”

“‘I am a Financial Services Apprentice within the Technical Academy. One of the best aspects of my apprenticeship is having the opportunity to balance gaining an industry-recognised qualification, alongside my day-to-day experience of working in a professional environment.
Studying for my CF1 qualification alongside my apprenticeship has been both challenging and enjoyable. Delving into financial regulations and ethics has strengthened my foundational knowledge, improved my problem-solving skills, and deepened my understanding of the industry.
My time here at SJP has been instrumental in not only developing my academic skillset, but also my own personal skills. I've been able to develop both my communication and my presenting skills, as I've had the chance of attending numerous networking events whilst also interacting with countless senior members of staff since joining this workforce. I feel as though all these skills will not only benefit me immensely now but will be key for my future at the company as well.’”

“I joined SJP as a Treasury Operations Apprentice. Since rolling off the apprenticeship programme, I continue to work in the Finance Operations team within the Finance Division.
Being only 18 years of age and joining a wealth management company can seem daunting at first, however the SJP apprenticeship scheme provides an incredible steppingstone, for many young people, like me, to enter the corporate world.
Personally, one of the best aspects about any apprenticeship is the opportunity to study towards a professional qualification. After enjoying Maths throughout school and progressing onto taking Accounting at A-level, this consolidated my decision to pursue this as a career. I am currently studying towards my ACCA qualification, in the hope of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
For me, what distinguishes SJP from other companies, is the huge network of support surrounding you as you join the business. The community feel is something very special to SJP. Starting my career surrounded by a cohort of apprentices, all in the same boat as me, really helped to get the most out of my apprenticeship. The Charitable Foundation Event we organised was a great example of the whole cohort coming together and creating success as a team.
Overall, I am very grateful for the experience I have had on the apprenticeship programme. I have grown as an individual, and the various meetings arranged for us with Board members has inspired me to aim high in my career, because it puts into perspective the saying, “if you put your mind to it, anything is achievable”. This applies to my studies, but also my professional development, as I am looking forward to the next stages of my career at SJP.”

“I joined SJP on the Apprenticeship Programme as an Expense Business Partner Apprentice within Finance. Like many of you, I was never interested in going to university so an apprenticeship was a great option for me. I can learn and develop my knowledge whilst receiving a salary.
My favourite part of the apprenticeship has been the Q&A Sessions with Board Members as I was able to learn about their careers, their current role and where they see SJP in the future. Through the programme, I have been able to develop my skills in teamwork and building relationships through organising the Charitable Foundation Event with the rest of the cohort. To this day, those from my apprenticeship cohort still meet for lunch in our lunch breaks as well as socials outside of work.
One thing I love the best about SJP, is the sense of culture and community. When I joined, everyone was so welcoming and to this day everyone is always willing to help you with anything or even just have a chat.”
