St. James’s Place Wealth Management Asia (“SJP Asia”), the international business of the leading FTSE100 wealth manager, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Asherson OBE as a Senior Advisor to its Asia Advisory Board. Jonathan’s extensive experience in Asia will add invaluable insight as the business develops its position as a leading provider of face-to-face financial advice in the region.

Jonathan’s extensive career includes the role of Regional Director for ASEAN and the Pacific at Rolls-Royce; positions in Siemens' industrial power business in China, Malaysia, Germany and the USA; a former President of the Singapore British Chamber of Commerce and a past Board Member of the Economic Development Board of Singapore (EDB).

Jonathan is the Non-Executive Chairman and Adviser of Rolls-Royce Singapore; an Independent Director of Semcorp Industries; a Director of Genting Singapore and the current Chairman of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce. Jonathan brings to SJP Asia wide ranging experience in Asia strategy and business. Jonathan is also a Non-Executive Director of the UK Department for International Trade (Southeast Asia); a council member of the Singapore National Employers’ Federation; an advisor to the Singapore Institute of International Affairs and an advisory committee member for various Singapore and UK educational and research institutes. He was awarded an OBE in 2007 and the Public Service Medal (Friends of Singapore) at Singapore’s National Day Awards in 2010.
